SHANTI GYAN NIKETAN……….a time for introspection

If today Shanti Gyan Niketan can boast of its predominant position as one of the premier institutions in Delhi , it is because of the management, the teachers and the students and the non-teaching staff that have untiringly worked towards it. Building an institution is like nurturing plants and trees; a lot of care goes in it. They will dry up and eventually die if left untended. The same applies to centers of learning. It takes years for a school to reach to a certain level of reputation and respectability. The level has to be constantly maintained for qualities never an accident; it is the result of perseverance and hard work. Just as silver gets tarnished if left unpolished for long, decay and degeneration seeps into the very fabric of institution, if lack of vision, complacence and inertia are allowed to have the better of it.

We here treasure the pearls of wisdom that are acquired through learning and heritage .We, are here to create future and our determination knows what tomorrow holds for us. Our future stands full of new promises, new hopes and new horizons as yet undiscovered, waiting to be made a part of our lives.

 History

On Aug. 15, 1989 a sapling called Shanti Gyan Niketan was planted by the auspicious hands of Prof. Sh. Moonis Raza, the then Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University. The school was started by Khurana Educational Society. It was founded by the Founder Chairman Sh. Gyan Chand Khurana, along with Mr. Raj Kumar Khurana as Founder Manager.

The society feels honoured and proud to state that the school which started with few rooms and few students in now spread on 5 acres of land and growing around 2400 students. The school is situated in avid greens and pollution free environment.
