For classes VII onward
The academic year is divided into two terms. Two rounds of weekly test and an internal assessment in each subject will be conducted before a formal written half yearly exam. Similarly, two rounds of weekly test and an internal assessment in each subject will be conducted before a formal written annual exam. Promotion to next class is based on the results of these tests/ exams and internal assessment of the student’s work. A student to qualify for promotion, must secure a minimum average of 40% both in aggregate and in individual subject. A student who fails twice in the same class or who is over age by two years or more due to failure in different classes will not be permitted to continue his/ her studies in the school. Weightage to different tests/ exams is as follows:

Weekly Tests : 20 marks each
Half Yearly/ Annual exams : 100 marks each
Internal Assessment : 10 marks in each terms.

 
 

SPECIAL NOTE:
In case a student is absent for any of the Weekly Test/ Half Yearly/ Annual Exam, proper medical certificate or prior written intimation should be submitted to the class teacher. In such a case, student will be assessed on their performance in the previous exam for the concerned subject. No rank in the final report will be awarded to the student absent for half yearly or annual exam.
